Jewellery on the forehead is very traditional and usually only worn by the bride. This is known as a Tikka. Many non-brides also wear a tikka nowadays and it is quite common to wear at a wedding.

Brides also wear a long length bindi which is diamonte stickers that follow the shape of the eyebrows and in the centre of the forehead. This decorates the face and is only worn by the bride. Non-brides also wear a bindi and usually just in the centre of the eyebrows.

The image above shows the model wearing jewellery on one side of her hair. This is called a side matha patti or pakeezah jhoomar, which only follows one side of the head as opposed to both sides.
